| | AT T and T-Mobile use a certain type of cell phone tgnhcoloey called GSM. GSM companies use SIM cards to hold phone data such as phone numbers. Verizon and Sprint use a cell phone tgnhcoloey called CDMA which is different from GSM. All of that data such as a phone number is stored into the phone and can't really be physically removed. Long story short, the DROID X and almost all other Verizon phones don't use SIM Cards. You can still talk to Verizon Customer Service and see if they can switch your old AT T number to Verizon, I'm pretty sure they can help you keep your old number. |
